Kipplinger has just released its latest car rankings for 2012, and only one hybrid made best in class. According to Kipplingers the Lexus RX 450h hybrid was the 2012 Best in Class Midsize & Large Crossover
With best in class fuel economy and "top notch safety" and "luxury" the 450h hybrid has been a consistent Kipplinger top pick in its class.
Based on TrueCar data, Kipplinger found that the national average cost of an RX 450 hybrid is $44,965. After 3 years of ownership, Kipplinger estimates that the RX 450h will retain 60 percent of its resale value. After 5 years, the RX hybrid still retains 44 percent resale value.
The RX 450h hybrid averages 32/28 mpg city/highway, the best fuel economy in the midsize to large crossover segment.
