NO MORE TAX CREDITS
FOR TOYOTA HYBRID CARS
--> Should
there be more tax credits for hybrid cars such as the
Toyota Prius (more)
The tax credit for the Toyota
Prius Hybrid was originally $3150.00. Unfortunately,
only the first
60,000 Toyota hybrid owners to file for the credit were
able to claim this
tax credit because Congress capped the credits at
60,000 vehicles per manufacturer.
After the full credits
have been reached, the full credit will still be
available, but for only one more quarter. After this
quarter, the credit will drop 50% for two more quarters,
then 25% for two more quarters, and then it fully
expires.
As of September 30,
2006, the full tax credit for Toyota hybrids expired and
the Prius credit was reduced by 50 percent.
In April of 2007, the
tax credit for the Prius will be reduced by another 50
percent.
So, get out there and
take advantage of the current tax credit, buy your
Toyota Prius hybrid car today!
