When the Lexus LS 600h L hybrid debuted at the LA Auto Show it was a complete, jaw-dropping show stopper.
The LS 600h L is the world's first V8 hybrid vehicle and is meant to compete with V12 European luxury sedans. Consequently, Lexus is aspiring to achieve V12 performance with the 600h L hybrid sedan, but with V8 fuel efficiency.
Between the 5.0 liter engine and the electric motor, the 600h L generates 438 hp, and can reach 60 in just 5.5 seconds.
Yet, the 600h L isn't the gas hog you'd expect. At 20 mpg in the city, this Lexus hybrid is about as fuel efficient as the average Accord or Camry sedan.
5 passenger premium luuxury with some pretty amazing fuel economy for all this power. That's the beauty of 600h L hybrid.
Luxury doesn't come more classy than this.
