Lexus LS 600h L Hybrid
When the Lexus LS 600h L hybrid debuted at the LA Auto Show it was a complete, jaw-dropping show stopper.
The 2012 LS 600h L is the world's first V8 hybrid vehicle and is meant to compete with V12 European luxury sedans. Consequently, Lexus is aspiring to achieve V12 performance with the 600h L hybrid sedan, but with V8 fuel efficiency.
I know that sounds a little crazy, V8 fuel efficiency, but it is what it is. Moreover, why can't such luxury vehicles become more fuel efficient? Even the uber rich understand the importance of driving cleaner and more efficiently.
Anyway, between the 5.0 liter engine and the electric motor, the 600h L generates 438 hp, and can reach 60 in just 5.5 seconds.
Yet, the 600h L isn't the gas hog you'd expect. At 20 mpg in the city, this Lexus hybrid is about as fuel efficient as the average Accord or Camry sedan.
As I stated previoulsy, even the uber rich can understand the importance of efficiency.
5 passenger premium luuxury with some pretty amazing fuel economy for all this power. That's the beauty of 600h L hybrid.
Luxury doesn't come in a more classy or intelligent package than the 600h L hybrid.
Don't just show the world how rich you are. Show them how smart you are as well.
Even better, as of November, 600h L buyers were saving 8 - 12 percent off the sticker price.
