Dodge Ram Hybrid

Dodge will introduce the Dodge Ram hybrid pickup truck in 2010, utilizing the dual mode hybrid powertrain that also powers the current Chevy Silverado hybrid.

With the dual mode hybrid powertrain, the Ram truck will provide full truck performance, with sedan-like fuel economy.

Overall, fuel economy should improve about 20 - 30 percent, but city fuel economy can be up to 50 percent better than a conventional Ram.

Even more interesting, the Ram hybrid will eventually become a plug-in hybrid vehicle, possibly the first ever full-sized plug-in hybrid truck.
