Speaking of EV battery problems
The plug-in battery space looks chaotic
November 8, 2011
Battery maker A123 Systems has cut guidance from $210 – $225 million to $165 – $180 million because of an unexpected reduction in battery orders from Fisker for the Karma plug-in hybrid.
A123 is suggesting that the reduction is a temporary setback, but demand for the Karma will ultimately determine if this is temporary or not.
Nevertheless, this just seems to confirm the sentiment in yesterday’s Batteries: The green investment bubble in the EV space?
Green investors should probably be cautious in this space.
