Why the Leaf?

There are many reasons why you should buy a Nissan Leaf, such as wanting to reduce your foreign oil or carbon footprints. Is there really anything that could be more important than that?

Maybe you just believe that electric cars are the future and you want to help invest in making electric cars a reality as soon as possible. Ultimately, there is nothing better than investing in the future you'd like to see become reality. That's leadership. That's vision. That's standing up for what you believe.

And who would have ever thought buying a car could achieve such a statement?

Then again, maybe you're just a technology advocate that is always an early adopter of futuristic technologies. How can you bypass something like the Leaf? The Leaf is the epitomy of advanced technology.

The point is, with an EPA estimated 73 miles of range, the Nissan Leaf can fulfill the average daily driving needs of most US commuters. And, over time, plug-in charging options for plug-in drivers will increase significantly.

Still, don't think the Leaf provides enough range? Track your mileage for a few weeks, I'll bet you'll be surprised at how well a Leaf can work for your average commuting needs.

Of course, if you do need to make a longer trip, Nissan is offering a rental car option.

Ultimately, the Leaf is a new vision of the future. Imagine, for instance, that one could put a solar array on their house, backed up their electric car, that enables a completely energy independent solution.

What's that worth?

Sure, it's going to take time for electric cars like the Leaf to become mainstream solutions, but you can be a groundbreaker.
