Aptera: We can reinvent the automobile

Can it forever change the auto industry?

Last week I highlighted the Citroen Cactus electric car as an example of out of the box thinking. Still, my favorite out of the box thinking example continues to be Aptera.

Finish: Aptera hybrid rocks the box

I have been looking at hybrids and plug-ins for the past 6 months. Last month I drove 5,000 miles for business and pleasure. 2 weeks ago from ebay, I won a 1996 Geo Metro or was high bidder. I drove it 800 miles to realize I could get 60 mpg, then took it to my mechanic to make every component like new! It is cheaper than buying or financing a hybrid. This said, I am on the Aptera list, having placed my $500. refundable reservation. Whether the future is Aptera or the idea Aptera offers, those supporting the idea need to commit to actually GOING GREEN, instead of intellectualy discussing it. Investors need confidence and I need a cheaper operating system. Yes its a pretty car, but I have parked my Ford Ranger to drive a 3 cyc. Geo Metro and I don't care what people think. Not all of us are ego driven, but that too is a nice side effect, if what you drive defines who you are!
