GM's thermoelectric's program at boiling point?

Using exhaust and wasted energy for power

GM and BMW and close to putting the finishing touches on a new technique to turn wasted energy into extra fuel economy. "Their research into thermoelectrics -- the science of using temperature differences to create electricity," could eventually improve fuel economy by 10 percent using nothing but the hot air from exhaust pipes. That's good to know, since hot air is a resource that GM execs have in abundance.
