Ford puts $75 million Focus on small car

Can't keep up with demand

Ford is spending $75 million on an SUV factory that also builds the Focus, so that the company can increase Focus production if demand stays high. Additionally, Ford is moving some 1000 workers off SUVs into Focus production.

While this is a good reactionary move, I'm still waiting for Ford to take some real action towards the future.

What would also help Ford would be the re-introduction of decent SMALL pickup trucks. There are lots of people that would be served perfectly well by a small i4 or v6 pickup for the Home Depot shopping, hauling trash to the dump, buying a couch, or for transporting a motorcycle. These kinds of day-to-day tasks simply don't require a 6.0L v8 engine!
