Should America embrace Maglev trains?

Would a rebirth of the rail industry be good for America?

Anybody that lives in Southern California and has driven to Las Vegas knows how ridiculous traffic has become on some of America's worst highways. And, if you believe in a green lifestyle, flying isn't a better option?

What about a Maglev train? Instead of 4 to 6 hours, how about 90 minutes? Even better, you'd use less energy than either driving or flying?
