Electric drag racers

Supporters love electric power

"Electric vehicles are making their presence felt at amateur drag races across the country, challenging gas-powered cars and motorcycles. The "amp heads," computer geeks and tree-hugging environmentalists driving the electron-powered vehicles are starting to kick some major rear end." (more)

I followed the links to a good MSNBC article about a electric motorcycle called "Killacycle". These articles are very encouraging. I am anxiously awaiting the availability of these vehicles!! Observing a little more blue sky, let me add that if nuclear fusion is ever tethered to produce electricity, these electric vehicles will be the ONLY reasonable way to go. 2 cents a mile will turn into 2 cents a charge, or less. Nuclear fusion is the future of our energy supply, and vehicles that can take advantage of it are the future of transportation.
