PAL-V Flying Car and the environment

Good or bad for the environment?

The idea of a flying car is something that I've been waiting for since I was a child watching the Jetsons. So, I was very excited to learn about the PAL-V Flying Car being developed by PAL-V Europe. Drive it, fly it or do a little of both.

I will have to have one of these.

Still, what would a move towards such vehicles do for the environment? Perhaps they could relieve congestion? Perhaps they could minimize dirty commercial air flights? Additionally, the PAL-V is being developed to use bio-fuels and is already supposed to be fuel efficient. Maybe one day we could have plug-in hybrid flying cars?

Regardless, I like this development because I think it will truly put pressure on everyone involved with transportation - We can and we must dare to think differently.
