Honda doesn't buy plug-in hybrids or E85
The Honda FCX is nice, but is it realistic?Honda regulatory manager, John German, told the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee that Honda is in favor of raising fuel economy standards in the U.S. yesterday. However, he also told the Senate that Honda doesn't see nearly as much potential in either plug-in hybrids or E85 as many other automakers apparently see, such as GM. According to German, even with significant improvements, plug-in hybrid vehicles would not be cost-effective for at least 6 years.
