GM responds to Thomas Friedman's Quick Fix for Gas Addicts
Since GM announced their gas-incentive program for gas-guzzlers in Florida and California, the Internet has been buzzing with criticism. NY Times writer, Thomas Friedman, hammered GM stating, "Is there a company more dangerous to America's future than General Motors? Surely, the sooner this company gets taken over by Toyota, the better this country will be." Today, Bob Lutz responded, "the majority of Americans, not being extreme liberals, and harboring a deep-seated distrust toward the media, will see his piece for what it is: the product of an unusual, but not altogether well, mind." Hmmm. Mr. Lutz works for an American company which spends billions asking Americans to buy foreign oil increasing gas guzzlers - during war in the Middle East - to protect American jobs. So, what's really more crazy, criticizing such actions, or defending them? I'd say you've gone loco, Mr. Lutz.(Source:DetNews)Labels: foreign oil dependency
