China gone solar water heater crazy?
30 million Chinese people now use solar powered water heaters, even in areas where winter temperatures hit minus 20 and the sun rarely shows itself (more). Is this just another example of how America has lost its edge? Why doesn't America embrace alternative energy, especially clean technology? It's unacceptable, especially when many of these clean technologies pay for themselves - in addition to protecting the environment.Labels: solar power

Are there any flaws to these heaters beyond the fact that they are quite ugly unless hidden?
From what I have read there are not any flaws, beyond consmetic. In fact, early reports seem to indicate that these solar heaters not only work extremely well, but easily pay for themselves.
when it saves you a good amount of your power bill. I am sure you won't be complaining about how it looks
