Green chemistry wins Nobel Prize
I believe in science and technology. Unfortunately, too often science and technology are used only for profit, without any regard for consequences to the environment, even to the people. Fortunately, many people throughout the world are demanding cleaner technology. Thus, I was thrilled to read that the Nobel Prize in chemistry went to a "green chemistry" process, the development of the metathesis method in organic chemistry, that could significantly reduce the hazardous waste from forming chemicals.
