Solar powered hydrogen home being built

Inventor Bryan Beaulieu is creating a $2 million home that will use a solar powered hydrogen system to run his house. "Beaulieu's home will trap sunlight in solar panels and convert it to electricity. That electricity will run a washing machine-size appliance called an electrolyzer, which separates water into hydrogen and oxygen." (MSNBC.COM)

Could systems, such as this, and fuel cells for that matter be the answer to clean water as well?

This is the real future, every household will make his own energy with solar power and hydrogen as a stock for energy at night.Only the 2 million dollar is too high I think the total system without the house will cost US$ 80.000,-
It is very easy our universum consist for 90% of Hydrogen our best energy source is the sun and it consysts for 99% out of hydrogen.

I know people in So. California that live off the grid with solar panels that not only power their home, but also two electric vehicles!

In fact, I'm going to be investigating a new solar system for my home that I hope to write about soon.

My point was, that in some areas, such a sophisticated system isn't even required.

The upside of hydrogen powered systems, especially fuel cells is, perhaps, the ability to develop a new source of clean water.
