Prius helping to drive Toyota profits, GM and Ford fall in November

"In what has become a familiar pattern, the country's top two automakers reported weak November sales on Wednesday," states the AP in Yahoo. According to the article, new models from GM and Ford are not doing as well as expected.

Ford, which recently came out with the Ford Escape hybrid, is not producing enough of the vehicles to have any effect on overall sales.

On the other hand, the Prius was cited as a reason why Toyota profits continue to rise.

Honda, which released the Accord hybrid this month, also did well.
