Automakers set to challenge landmark California emission's law

"Automobile manufacturers are preparing to sue California, perhaps as early as this week, in an attempt to derail a pioneering state law that seeks to force the companies to reduce tailpipe emissions of heat-trapping gases linked to global warming." (Detroit News Article)

Unbelievable. Automakers have until 2016 to achieve about a 30 percent gain in efficiency. Today, hybrid cars, such as the Toyota Prius, already accomplish that goal. To think that in 11 years, automakers can't achieve this goal means one thing: Get out of business!

The technology is there. Yes there might be costs, but automakers have had decades to accept some responsibility for the pollution they have created, on their own terms.

They have taken no such action, and continually place all fault on their consumers. They have failed America, and the world, miserably.

Will Americans make them responsible, or will the corporate world, once again, bend the people over?
