World’s largest solar-powered irrigation system planned.

WorldWater Corporation signed a contract worth $2 million to produce a solar-powered irrigation system for a citrus farm in California - by far the world’s largest of its kind. According to WorldWater it’s patented AquaMax system is a “quantum leap forward in the deployment of large-scale solar pumping technology.”

According to Quentin T. Kelley, Worldwater chairmen and CEO, “While many of the world’s finite energy sources are being depleted at a disquieting rate, as evidenced by the current global oil crisis, WorldWater’s ability to harness the unlimited power of the sun with our propriety Aquamax systems represents breakthrough technology.”

The CEO went on to state that WorldWater’s technology is more than 100 times more powerful than of its competitors, “WorldWater has enabled solar power to achieve an unparalleled level of practicality and cost-effectiveness for a broad spectrum of commercial mainstream uses.”

WorldWater appears to be turning a corner in solar technology, building on other recent projects for the company. For example is building a one megawatt solar system for Cerro Coso Community College in Ridgecrest. That project is also breaking new ground, creating an “unprecedented 60% of the institution’s electricity
